I like Sullivan, but he spends a lot of time talking about how national health care is going to be horrific. He went after Yglesias today:
Yglesias uses USSR data to advocate for nationalized healthcare. Those who have never experienced socialism have no idea what they are asking for.
I’m not asking for the Soviet Union here. Andrew has constantly complained about the socialism of healthcare, implying its horrors. Andrew: those of us who have experienced capitalism and its major faults, who worry about the day to day ability for healthcare, a good education and the ability to find work – we’re willing to try something new unless you can give an actual reason why we shouldn’t that works for the rest of us; the makes the lives of the rest of us better.
